Watching your stores in three steps

  1. Add a store

    Connect each store with an SFTP, FTPS or FTP login. A read-only login is enough, and nothing gets installed or uploaded.

  2. Turn on Magento 2 Protection

    The checks are ready-made: config, core, extensions and themes, scripts in media folders and suspicious file names across the store.

  3. Get the alert

    Alerts go to the people you choose by email or SMS, with Slack coming soon. Every scan is kept in scan history.

  • Does Alertica find malware?

    Not by reading code. Alertica doesn't open your files or your database. It alerts when files change, when files appear that shouldn't, such as a script in a media folder or a known web shell name, and when expected files stop arriving. That's often the first sign of a break-in, and it tells you where to look.

  • Does Alertica need SSH or root?

    No. It needs a login that can list files over SFTP, FTPS or FTP, and a read-only one is enough. Nothing is installed and no cron job is added.

  • Does Alertica check what's inside a file?

    Today it compares each file's name, size and modified time. A content check is coming: it will fingerprint files on your own server over SSH where the host allows it, so it catches an edit that keeps the date and size, and your code never leaves the server.

  • Does Alertica cover PCI DSS for my store?

    It covers requirement 11.5.2, the files on your server: it alerts you when critical files are changed, added or deleted, and compares them at least once a week, daily on Pro. It compares file details, not contents, until the content check ships. It doesn't cover 11.6.1, which watches the scripts on your payment page as the shopper's browser receives them. That needs a tool that watches the payment page itself.

  • Is it safe to give Alertica access to our servers?

    Yes. Alertica is agentless and read-only: it lists files and never opens, changes or deletes them, so a read-only login is all it needs. The logins you give it are encrypted with AES-256, and every Alertica account uses two-step sign-in.

  • What does Alertica cost?
